Arfa Karim

Arfa karim was one of the proud daughter of Pakistan who became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional at the age of nine. Arfa Karim was born in February 2, 1995 and was a student of Lahore Grammer School. She received the president award for Pride of Performance. The Founder of Microsoft Bill Gates Invited her to visit Microsoft company in USA.
Arfa Karim was awarded by so many awards. On the 113th birth anniversary of Fatimah Jinnah she was awarded by the Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal in the field of Science and Technology.
She also received Salaam Pakistan award in 2005 from the president of Pakistan.
 Arifa Karim also attended many international conferences and received many awards and gifts. On December 2011 she suffered cardiac arrest and parts of her brain was damaged. She was admitted in Combined Military Hospital(CMH) lahore for treatment. Meanwhile Bill Gates called Arfa's family and assured that he will do his best for the treatment of Arfa. He also setup an international well recognized doctors team to support the local doctors. Due to heavy brain disease Arfa Karim could not be able to survive and died on 14th January 2012 in Lahore at the age of 16. After her death the Chief Minister of punjab Shahbaz Sharif changed the name of Lahore Technology Park to Arfa Software Technology park.
Arfa Karim was a proud daughter of our nation and will be remembered forever. It is the duty of every Pakistani to work hard in their respective fields and do something great for our country and mark their name in the history.
